After WEEKS Of RUMORS, REBA Confirms Divorce

Nation fans were stunned when Reba McEntire and spouse/chief Narvel Blackstock declared they were separating following 26 years of marriage in 2015. Obviously, Reba was similarly as astonished.

“The separation was not my thought. I didn’t need it in any shape, frame or design,” the 60-year-old vocalist disclosed to CMT’s Cody Alan in a meeting this week. “So it was truly difficult to make the alteration when somebody’s not glad. I simply need everyone to be glad in their lives, in light of the fact that our lives are too short to be in any way hopeless.”

She included: “I just idea it was the best thing to take my marbles and go play elsewhere, is the thing that daddy used to dependably say.”

McEntire and Blackstock, 59, have one child together, Shelby Blackstock, a race auto driver. Blackstock has three other kids from a past marriage and is the father-in-law of vocalist Kelly Clarkson, who allegedly attempted to keep him and McEntire together.

In December, a couple of months after the separation was concluded, McEntire posted a gathering photograph with Blackstock and told fans in the remarks that the combine are “still companions.”

In the CMT talk with this week, the nation legend said concentrating on her confidence helped her bob over from the agonizing split.

“The thing that got me through this adjustment in life, is number one, God,” she told Alan. “I asked each day to enable me to have the quality to move one foot before the other, and proceed with what should be doing … and after that with my group and my companions, my family, my lady friends.”

The marriage might be over, however the two-time Grammy victor said she has bounty to be appreciative for in her life.

“You know, you just got the chance to have an awesome group of individuals around you that you adore, and they cherish you, and I’m exceptionally honored to have those individuals,” she said. “I express gratitude toward God for it all.”
